It’s nice and simple and looks good, overall. I wish it had some motion or dynamic quality to it
I like the colors on this device, but I wish they moved. The three LEDs (Red, Green, and Blue) seem to cycle on slightly different schedules, so you do get lots of colors options as the electronics cycle through the options. What you don’t get though is any dynamic movement – the lights are static and the lens is static so wherever you have it aimed is where the lights will stay. I wish the lens rotated or there was a mirror that moved back and forth to give it some movement, but it’s good enough.The video below shows some blinking but that’s just because my cell phone is capturing the high speed blinking of the LEDs – there is no blinking if you’re looking at it because your eyes don’t see the LEDs blink. It looks quite nice, actually. It’s survived October outside so far in a wet and cold area of the Northeastern US so it seems to be well made and it should last. The solar cell powers it for a few hours, which is fine – I don’t need it to go all night. There is a nice rubber o-ring to keep it watertight and I haven’t had any problems with it.It’s nice and simple and looks good, overall. I just wish it had some motion or other dynamic quality to it.

Bright and Strong Light
I ordered this solar spotlight in preparation for Halloween, and I am happy with my purchase. The light is very easy to install and set up. When you install it, it stays sturdy and strong in the ground. I didn’t have a problem with it falling out or loosing its angle as I set it up. Through the day, it gains a good amount of solar power, and in the night the light is bright and adjustable. You can change the colors from a variety of options and it is weather proof. Even after some rain, it remained in the same great conditions.

Single scattered effect light with fixed solar panel limiting placement
Well, this is a single solar outdoor, solar-powered light. So for the price, it seems rather expensive. The trade-off is that this isn’t simply a light, it is an RGB (Red, Green, Blue) light which can display a variety of colors and also employs a compound lens that breaks the light into a sort of scattered effect. This might be used to great effect with white light to look like snowfall or perhaps a green over a Hallowe’en setting.As an uplight for a large tree, the broken light pattern may not be noticeable with the variety of depth to different branches and leaves, which wield break it up in any case.The biggest downside, for me, is that the solar panel is part of the case and not independantly adjustable.This makes placement far more difficult. The solar panel must be in bright sunlight for as long as possible so that it will light up after dark. So, the direction of the sun needs to be above and slightly behind where you are aiming this light. This can really complicate what should be a simple accent light.Lastly, please be aware that the light must be turned on when placed out in the sun or it will not charge.I found that even being in shade was enough to allow the light to turn on, so I knew it was active and would be accepting a charge, even though it was not visible in the sunlight.

Not what I was expected.
There is no much lights it produces. Just really small spot light. If you think it would light and color a wall then it doesn’t do it. For me for what it does it is doesn’t worse the price.

Chill pattern to make time outdoors chill
Solar lights are the best cause you can place them where you don’t have power as long as there’s a clear path to the sun. This light offers red, blue and green colors as well a combination of the three. It comes with a stake for ground placement as well as screw holes for vertical mounting.The pattern throw is nearly 8 feet wide if vertically mounted and would have the best effect on our patio. I chose to leave it on the ground because the housing is all plastic and doesn’t feel robust enough to withstand the snow and ice of a coastal northeast winter. I don’t want to put holes in our siding for what I consider is a fun temporary fixture. To extend its life I’m going to put it away during the winter snow and icy months.In our wooded property the light is very bright. You might get different results if you have a lot of ambient light around. It’s so bright that I have to aim it away from our line of sight. The one improvement I would make is to have the solar panel position independent from the fixture. Because it’s affixed, solar charge is limited by the final installation angle and location.Overall this is a fun light that gives off a static chill worthy color pattern.
