Awesome Wall Clock
This is a review of the CLXEast Wall Clock. I’ve had it for about a year and it is still running great. I did have to replace the batteries for the gear turning mechanism once but other than that, no issues.Pros: the design is awesome and a real eye catcher. It is very unique and probably the color palette of a penny. The turning gears are cool, and I like the Roman numerals.Cons: The only issue with this clock is because the face isn’t white it’s not as obviously easy to read, so depending on the light you may or may not like that. I think it would be neat to offer an upgraded version with a remote where I could turn the turning gears on/off as well as light it up with LEDs at night.Bottom line: the clock is still a great value for the money, and it would look great in a living room or office.

Perfect high quality metal clock
Beautiful, high quality metal and glass build! I get a ton of positive comments about it when I have guests over. I did have a reflection problem initially, but after putting it really high up on the wall, it was extremely visible from multiple angles throughout the floor plan. It tells and holds the time accurately when set properly. And of course it was easy to install and find batteries for, 10 out of 10. Would purchase again if they had more styles that fit my decor.

Okay – so let’s say 4-3/4 stars shall we?
Sharp clock! Quite the looker! Heavy. Definitely need quality support to hold it up. There are two hooks on the back. My top hook is not at the 12. It’s between the 12 and 1 so it unusable. The bottom hook is on the plastic casing near the battery covers. I used the lower one. It sure is quiet – which was the reason for me looking for a new clock anyway. My sensitive son didn’t like the tick-tick-tick of my old one while he was doing homework. This is nearly silent. So the hook being off isn’t a “1 star” removal thing as I can just undo the springs holding the internal components in and level it out. Really my only complaint is one that others have pointed out; the hands are dark and I can’t see them. The flare of the glass isn’t helping either. So when I remove the back to level out the hook, I’m going to paint the hands a different color. Probably a bronze/gold to match the gears.

The gears make a slight rain sound, but the clock is beautiful. You’ll need 3 AAs

Beautiful Clock with Quirks
This is a beautiful clock, and we love the way it looks in our home. The only negative I have noticed is that the hands of the clock are a color very similar to the face of the clock, and distinguishing the hands took both my husband and me a little adjustment period (we are both almost 80, I might add). I’ve acclimated to it now and can tell the time immediately. If you want to watch the gears turn, you have to install two additional batteries. I’m fine with that, and it is fun to watch them. However, changing them means taking the heavy clock down from the wall, which requires a ladder in our house, so I’m anxious to see how often we have to do it. We may install the two extra batteries only for special occasions. Overall, I’m very happy with the clock.
