I am using this as a TEAPOT COASTER instead of as a jewelry tray, and it is so perfect!!!I drink tea everyday, and I am always grabbing a napkin or something to put under my teapot to keep stains from popping up on my desk and work tables. I have used coasters, regular ones, but they are just a bit on the small side. This fits my teapot so very well, it is like it is made for it! The stone is a darker travertine, with a bit of a green undertone, like a dark taupe that leans green. That is so perfect for a tea coaster even if I do not put a stone sealer on it!(The teapot I use that fits so welll is the Hario ChaCha Kyusu “Maru” Tea Pot, 450ml, for whole leaf teas, love that teapot so much!).For a jewelry tray, it would work well too, for any vanity items or bedside table items certainly.It is heavy and thick and great quality and is lined on the bottomside . I love this tiny tray so much, highly recommended.
