Finally found modern planters that are a great quality!
I am extremely happy with this purchase as I am starting a small raised garden on my deck. I was looking everywhere for modern planter boxes with clean lines and these are literally the only ones I could find. Are they expensive for a plastic box? Yes! Do they look really good? Yes!The boxes arrived and after cutting them open, the product was easily removed in one piece. There was no damage to them (which is a miracle these days) and minimal excess trash. They include 2 plugs per box which can be used to keep the water in. I LOVE the little touch of the smiley faces on the plugs, it’s the little things that can make your day. The material is thick and is very sturdy. The white is great! I love the clean look of these. They are 15″ deep so I think I will be able to get a good amount plants in them. I will update that as well as the plants start to grow so you can get an idea of how much food I can grow.I do have to bend down or kneel to get to them, which doesn’t bother me but if you are looking for something taller that you won’t have to get down on the ground, you may want to look for something else. The planters are double walled, which will be great for insulation as the temperatures in PA fluctuate a lot! They will be getting pretty direct afternoon sun and I have other products from Veradex that also get afternoon sun and they have held up extremely well.I will be doing a fruit and vegetable garden in each and I will update this review after the season ends to see how everything did!Also, for anyone wondering how much soil you will need to fill your planters, these fill up nicely with 2 cubic feet per planter.

Nice But Be Careful
This planter is lightweight and very attractive. But Veradek advertises that there is a matching tray, yet doesn’t have it for this model on their website. This is an issue for me, as I put a few water bottles in the bottom to keep weight down. But the bottom of this planter is cut in deeply at the bottom and, without the tray to stabilize it, very tippy.Also, Veradek quickly accepted a return, but lowest cost ground shipping from Connecticut back to them in New York was $80 – more than half the cost of the planter itself. On their we site they say they can provide a pre-paid shipping label, which would presumably lower the cost significantly. But that does not appear to be an option when ordering through Amazon. Perhaps that is why their return rate is low.

I have ordered several of these for my backyard, love the sturdiness, weight and design! Even better that I am supporting Canadian businesses! Really nice product. One came without drain holes but we made some by drilling through the bottom layer.
