I have come back to this review to say that this was a great product. It was my mistake U should have been aware that this was a natural wood product and would therefore need to be sealed before project ! So just be aware it is a natural product that is unsealed. These came and I was so happy with the product. It was going to work great for my art project but after working to make my ornaments. The next day I found that all but two of my wood rounds had cracked. So just be alert and try to keep them in a moist area. Someone said to wipe them with water before starting.

Great for ornament making
Great quality – all about the same size. Durable. I used it for Christmas gifts to mod podge pictures on it, and then used as ornaments. Could also do this and then use as coasters!

Got these to engrave all of my friends’ dogs as a gift for the upcoming holidays. The wood slices are decent in quality and do not break. I use polyacrylic as a finish after engraving the pictures of dogs. These come out to about 75 cents apiece, which is well worth it when scaling gifts. Worth.

They’re great for wood burning. I enjoyed creating ornaments with them. I purchased a different string/twine that was more Christmas themes (red, green, and white instead of the red/orange it comes with).I think the main issue I had occurred because of my choices. I was in a hurry and used a spray on sealant rather than the normal polycrylic I use. They cracked partially. When I tried to crack them further, no further damage occurred. Only some of them cracked. I’m assuming these were ones coated too thickly with sealant.Ones I haven’t sealed have not cracked. They have been subjected to the same temperatures as those which have been sealed.While I am mostly certain it was my fault they cracked, I am still giving 4 stars as cracking shouldn’t occur. I used the same spray sealant on a different brand of rounds (more expensive, same thickness and size) and they didn’t crack.

BROKEN, BROKEN, AND BROKEN.
Expect at least 1/3rd of the rounds to crack and be unusable. Open the package when you get them and lay them all out, give it an hour, watch the magic of your money disappearing before your eyes. Some come pre-cracked, some will audibly pop and crack once they’re left out to breathe, and some will crack after you’ve already spent hours engraving, painting, or sealing them. All of the above happened in my experience and all completely ruined them.I bought 2 packs of 30 and I now have 17 rounds that are now cracked and unusable. That means I’m now spending about 30% MORE on these than they are supposed to be because so many are completely unusable. Absolute waste of time and money.

These were being used for DIY Christmas ornaments. They are real cuts from trees. Five were cracked and unusable. Several others had cracks but were usable. The sizes were all different; but usable. I would not recommend if you need the correct amount due to cracks in the wood..

👍🏼Pros:✔️Rounds were mostly all “perfect” (ie bark intact, no splitting wood)✔️Size was relatively consistent (some a bit bigger and others a bit smaller, but that was a good thing, and none were more than a half inch off in size)✔️Great heat-resistance (used iron-on vinyl for some of them)✔️Permanent vinyl had no problem sticking✔️They accept acrylic paint well✔️Bonus! They came with twine and coloured cloth wire👎🏼Cons:✖️Coloured wire was orange and white (weird choice for wood rounds which are often used for christmas or holiday decor)✖️A bit pricey if you’re hoping to sell your work but if not, it’s worth the money✖️One of the rounds split after painting✅Overall I do highly recommend
